This is a close up photo of the VFO tube and filter used to reduce the VFO second harmonic and nuke the third harmonic which is responsible for birdies and spurs.
Unfinished 1Kc dial overlay and Lexan outer ring. Notice the eliptical cut on the old gear. This provided a keyed patern to cut the Lexan replacement. The next photo is all of the parts assembled in the radio.
